We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as Hostel Manager for YHA Swanage. This vital role is responsible for effectively managing the Hostel to achieve and exceed current KPI’s through:

• Ensuring excellent Customer Service is maintained at all times
• Driving all sales opportunities and controlling expenditure
• Managing, developing and mentoring all employees and volunteers
• Establishing and maintaining great relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Adhering to all YHA Policies and Procedures
• Always seeking areas for improvement to the overall products and service within the hostel
• Proactively reviewing and responding to customer feedback
• Ensuring the maintenance of the building, fixtures and fittings remain to the highest
possible standard

Required Experience

In order to be a great Hostel Manager we are looking for
people who can:

• Show previous experience of recruiting, managing, developing and mentoring others

• Analyse monthly Profit and Loss Accounts to drive and increase performance

• Demonstrate the management and delivery of Food and Beverage, including cooking, service and menu planning

• Show a good understanding of YHA, the hospitality industry and current tourist industry
standards

• Put the customer at the heart of everything we do
