There is now a vacancy for a Hospital Specialist / Medical Sales Specialist to join a global pharmaceutical company.  As Hospital Specialist / Medical Sales Specialist you will be offered a salary package in the region of £50,000 + bonus + pension + healthcare + life assurance.  Hospital Specialist / Medical Sales Specialist role covers territory in the south-west, across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Hampshire and Gloucestershire. 

JOB PURPOSE:

To deliver sales objectives of designated products in line with sales and marketing strategy.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • To enable achievement of annual sales objectives through integrated business planning
  • Development of robust territory business plan and strategy which will achieve sales and awareness targets
  • Development of key account plans for each target trust/centre
  • Drive breadth and depth of territory sales by challenging customers to maximise their prescribing of company products
  • Implementation of key account actions points
  • Generate and sustain favourable formulary status and implementation of prescribing guidelines and protocols within key accounts
  • Identify and remove prescribing barriers to company products
  • Develop and maintain favourable endorsement and advocacy
  • Mobilise brand advocates to positively influence policy decision makers at trust/PCT and SHA levels
  • To enable achievement of annual sales targets by establishing and developing key customer support
  • Liaising with internal and external customers on sales development
  • Acquiring specialist knowledge and market intelligence
  • Provision of training and updates as appropriate to therapeutic area
  • Working in line with ABPI regulations

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent
  • Excellent track record in pharmaceutical sales
  • In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, selling process and the NHS market place
  • Demonstrable high level customer influencing and selling skills
