Position: Domiciliary Carer/Support Worker

Location: Wakefield  area

Salary: £6.60 - £9.90 + Holiday Pay

Job Description:

Prestige Nursing + Care are currently recruiting experienced (Domiciliary Carers/ Support Workers) to join us. You will assist in caring for clients in their own home. The successful candidate will be required to travel to and from clients homes to undertake personal care and household duties for our clients who may be suffering from mobility problems, Dementia or they may just need some help getting back to full health after a period in hospital. We are looking for dedicated and reliable people who have an excellent work ethic and a passion for caring for people.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a high quality of care.

• Respect the individuality and confidentiality of each service user.

• To respect the Service user's independence and authority and to treat them at all

times with fairness and courtesy.

• Ensure the health, safety and welfare of Service User and themselves.

• Assisting Service Users to get up and/or go to bed.

• Assisting Service Users with personal hygiene, dressing & undressing, toileting, etc.

• Keeping clients company by day or sitting / sleeping in the clients home at night providing personal care as required.

• Assist Service Users with preparation of meals, or other food and / or beverages.

• Undertake cleaning duties e.g. dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, washing dishes, etc.

• Maintain regular communication with branch manager.

Necessary Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 months experience in (specify relevant experience)

• Good standard of spoken and written English

• Achieved or willing to study towards NVQ2/Health & Social Care Diploma

• Driving Licence 9ideally

• Excellent communication skills and a good team player
