The opportunity is to join our Reservations Team and assist potential guests in selecting and booking the right cottage for them. You will be driven, confident, enthusiastic, self-motivated and enjoy working to targets. At the same time you’ll be a good team player genuinely interested in helping our guests find the right place to stay for their holiday, enjoy providing great customer service, and be highly organised with good attention to detail.
Your responsibilities:
- Answering phone and email enquiries, helping guests to book the right holiday cottage that best meets their preferences.
- The property owners are our customers too, so you’ll be frequently on the phone and email to them about potential new and existing bookings, negotiating prices and building up relationships with them.
- You’ll care about providing great customer service - we want our guests and owners to enjoy their interaction with Best of Suffolk and go away with a great impression of us every time they speak to us.
- We need to measure our success to know what works well and what doesn’t, so you’ll measure things like numbers of enquiries and bookings.
- We’re growing fast and we’ll need your help to fine-tune and improve our reservations systems.
- There will be other tasks that crop up as and when required.
- You’ll be working Monday to Friday and approximately one Saturday a month with a day of in lieu during the week. You’ll also join our 'on call’ rota to help guests who are staying in our cottages with any occasional queries they may have outside of office hours.
Your skills:
- A confident and charming telephone manner, and be able to quickly connect with people and guide them through the booking process.
- Good written communication skills, particularly emails where you’ll often need to write quickly and concisely but in a friendly way.
- You’ll get a kick from making sales and enjoy working to targets.
- Customer service will really matter to you - you’ll love going the extra mile to make someone’s day.
- A 'can-do’ attitude and be able to thrive in a busy team environment where everyone pulls together to get the job done
- Strong organisational and time management skills and good attention to detail
- Good office IT skills and an ability to learn quickly
- A tourism or property background is not essential…if you have the above skills we believe they are transferrable and we want to hear from you!
