Health Education Expert - Delhi, India

We are implementing the Institutional & Technical Strengthening Project (ITS) and urgently looking for  a full time Health Education Expert   as a replacement for the incumbent who has gone ill, for Lot 1 - Strengthening the National and State Institutes of Health and Family Welfare (Distance Health Education , Health Systems Research) . The position would be full time , Delhi based and the consultant needs to travel 25-30% of the time to Project locations within India. The project time frame is 1st Feb 2012 to 31st Dec 2013 .

The key requirements for the position are:

Qualifications & Skill

• Master in Public Health
• Knowledge in Gender Mainstreaming
• Excellent Command of English (written & oral) and communication skills

General Professional Experience

• At least 10 years’ experience
• Development and implementation of Health Education curricula and professional accreditation schemes and their implementation in European institutional context
• University level teaching experience

Specific Professional Experience

• Experience in planning and implementation of distance education courses in New Public Health and related fields addressing the European learning environment
• Experience in developing and reviewing content of educational courses from a gender perspective and in addressing issues related to discrimination, marginalization, and inequality in health and in engendering curricula and educational events, with particular reference to the European context
• Experience of Public Health Systems in South Asia and/or in developing countries would be an asset
