Leading financial insitution in Qatar who is looking to recruit someone to manage all aspects of business development for their corporate insurance solutions operation.
Job Description
Summary:
The Head of Sales will be responsible for leading all new business development/acquisition activities and initiatives (in partnership with Head of Group Benefits) providing leadership and implementation in delivery to the business plan.
In addition the candidate will be pro-active with other senior team members in the ongoing development and success of the Corporate Insurance Solutions team.
Key Accountabilities:
Managing the ‘promote to market strategy and implementation’ for new customers.
Take an active role as a senior team member
Expand the services and fee income level of existing customers
Build strong business relationship with all third parties with particular emphasis on the Insurance Panel
Detailed knowledge of insurer terms and services both in Qatar and Internationally
Involvement with the cross selling strategy of the Teams collaboration with other business units primarily (C&I)
Positive internal and external promotion of the team
Along with senior team members take ownership of key aspects in promotional initiatives, developing new business relationships, managing proposals & tenders, point of sale and marketing initiatives.
Strive for/gain recognition as ‘best in breed’ within Qatar market sector.
Person Specification
Capabilities Required
Experience:
Experience in a similar role with either a broker of a Consultancy firm
It is essential that there is a deep routed understanding of General/Commercial Insurance corporate market place as well as an appreciation of the Employee Benefits sector.
Business to Business:
Experience is essential and it would be preferable if the candidate came from a Consulting or professional Brokerage background – candidates with a proven track record within the Middle East region will be given preferential consideration.
Technical Skills:
Financial analytical abilities
Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks
Detailed understanding of Corporate Insurance Products
Strong report writing skills
Deep understanding of risk factors and the wider factors associated with funding and underwriting philosophy.
Behavioral Skills:
English (bilingual including Arabic an advantage)
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills are essential
Leadership qualities would also be an advantage.
