Job Description
One of most recognisable charitable organisations in UK with a mission statement of preventing cruelty and eleviating suffering requires an extremely experienced category manager of operations with direct experience of working within an organisation that has crossed functional and business boundaries.
This is an all encompassing role, where the procurement function works in tandem, not isolation from the business. To succeed you will need to be able to have a birds eyes view of your category in order to:
* Implement a procurement category strategy.
* Sourcing activities that generate benefit & financial savings.
* Preparation of pre tender and tender documents.
* Ensure procurement is in compliance with agreed policy.
The ideal candidate will need the ability to work autonomously as well as having great project management skills and know how to deliver a new procurement strategy. This will be a highly demanding and highly rewarding role.
