One of the largest furniture and home-furnishings retailer in the Middle East is seeking a Head of Buying/Sourcing to cover furniture, kitchenwear, bed and bath, and home décor for all the regions the business is currently present in.
You will be responsible for the overall implementation and management of the various category business plans in order to maximise sales and profits. This will be done through the creation of the product and merchandising strategy, planning and approving the merchandising budget and liaising with the excellence team in order to ensure the best practice in both the buying and merchandising processes.
As well as planning the budgets you will also be responsible for ensuring all design and development activities all the way from the product features to the functions and packaging. It will also be important to have had experience in quality control as this will need to be supervised by the Head of Buying in relation to looking at lab dips, fabric, trim checks.
You need to have had experience of working for a blue-chip retailer in which you will have hired and grown a successful team across multiple categories.
