Our client, a global player in the power industry, is looking to recruit a GT Commissioning Engineer to join their expanding team.
This is a position required to build up the Field Service Team with very good knowledge and competence on GT machines.
Job description and responsibilities:
General
- Commissioning of Gas Turbine, Steam Turbines and Generators
- Excellent understanding of programming and software based PLC control systems
- Support Programme manager and Project Support Engineer for outage related matters
Detailed schedule of works.
- Inspect measuring systems for proper functioning
- Record settings and operation values, and check for adherence to specification on :-
- :-Lube and control oil systems.
- :-Lifting oil systems and turning device.
- :-Electro-hydraulic converter.
- :-Actuator with fuel gas control valve.
10. :-Actuator with fuel oil control valve.
11. :-Emergency tripping device and alarm.
12. :-Safety and protection devices.
13. :-Run up, run down curves.
14. :-Determination of temperature limits at turbine outlet.
15. :-Determination of temperature limits in exhaust.
- :-Flame monitoring.
- :-Determination of cleaning intervals, compressor.
- Implement approved design changes and software modifications
- Hold permits if required
- Review unit start-up and post outage operation data and abnormalities.
- Develop and maintain positive relationship with customer personnel.
- Generate detailed field report in a timely manner.
- Develop, review, revise field procedures, and related technical information.
- Assist regional offices and other Mitsubishi groups as required.
- Support the Outage Project Manager in all technical, commercial and contractual matters
- Support Programme Management with pre-outage planning for service projects.
- Assist Programme Management in developing outage schedules for the projects, planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Assist Programme Management in developing outage safety documentation as needed for the implementation of gas turbine commissioning work (method statements, and risk assessments)
- Provide first response support for LSC customers as may be necessary during unplanned maintenance event. Including deployment to site to recommend, direct and or implement trouble shooting activities.
- Provide support for post outage activities.
- Provide support to Programme Management for proposal development (work scope documents, Division of Responsibilities document, etc.).
- Support customer/internal negotiation and implementation meetings as required.
10. Interface on site with service organizations as needed in order to plan outage implementation requirements
11. Assist Programme Management in developing cost estimates for Gas Turbine, Generator and Steam Turbine service proposals.
