Group Risk & Compliance Officer

A great opportunity has arisen for a Group Risk & Compliance for a global multi-platform media of data services, online websites, magazines and events organisation

Based in Head Office in outer SW London this is a pivotal role in the Senior Finance Leadership team. The position will involve significant levels of overseas travel as the individual engages and influences the commercial businesses in both consideration of risk and establishing compliance.

Risk Management

• Facilitate Risk Awareness and discussion at Group level

• Design and maintain an efficient framework for identifying, monitoring and reporting on business risks and mitigating actions

• Track progress on mitigating actions, facilitating progress as required

• Monitor emerging risk developments and discuss with management

Compliance

• Working and liaison with the legal team, monitor developments in relevant legislation and develop and coordinate an effective and practical response

• Monitor and facilitate progress in areas where actions need to be developed to ensure compliance or where regular reporting is required

• Represent RBI in Policies and Procedures work undertaken by RE Compliance functions

Key Skills

• Ability to identify and influence key decision makers

• Strong demonstrated knowledge of Risk and Compliance

• Good balance of strategic, bigger picture, understanding, together with ability to pay attention to the detail

Experience required

• Degree level Education

• Previous Responsibility for Risk / Compliance which is clearly demonstrated in previous roles

• Extensive experience in Commercial companies
