Graduate IT Support Technican/Trainee Developer

Our Client are a software house near Stafford. They design, host and support interactive online finance and insurance calculators. Their Customers include some of the most recognisable automotive brands in the world such as BMW, Mini, Peugeot and Citroen, as well as many of the major UK motor groups.

They are seeking to make 1 key addition to their team. The role of Support Technician is a crucial one within the company and is seen as a breeding ground for Developers. As such this position will be particularly appealing to applicants who harbour ambitions to get into a full development role. This is a graduate position and as such please only apply if you have the relevant qualification.

Job Role

• You will be working closely with our client support and business development teams in identifying, diagnosing and in some instances fixing technical issues that come into our support desk.

• You will be required to focus on performing triage and delegation of larger issues to the relevant team.

• The role includes significant communications with suppliers, partner media companies and customers on the telephone and via email.

• You will be responsible for driving change in the way support is delivered by suggesting and implementing continuous improvement in skills, processes and tools.

• Other tasks include the maintenance of support documentation and a responsibility for certain

• regular maintenance tasks.

Skills & Requirements

Essential

• 2.1 or above in Computer Science or related Degree

• Experience of a modern programming language such as C# or Java

• Great communication skills

• Passion and drive

Appealing

• Experience of SQL Server and specifically T-SQL
