We are recruiting a Graduate DevOps DBA / Software Engineer for one of the Europe's largest online retail destinations, who provide a variety of branded and unbranded services for a range of clients such as Universal Music and the BBC, as well as covering the vast majority of the UK's entertainment market.

This role has been created specifically as an opportunity for a talented recent graduate to jump right in and get some great experience and on the job learning. For that reason, we do require you to have a good degree in a technical subject such as Computer Science or Software Engineering. However, we also would like you to have some experience of working on Internet applications outside academia. This could be contributions to open source, freelance work, or a personal project.

Suitable areas of interest include:

• TCP, HTTP and the web
• Windows Server, IIS and C# / ASP.NET
• Linux and PostgreSQL

Their innovative IT systems are developed and supported in-house by a Nottingham-based development team, the web site being just the tip of the iceberg - they lead the way in bespoke development for the complex industry sector, including access control, APIs, mobile services, and an advanced online self-management system.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic recent graduate to join this small but enthusiastic team who working in a mixed environment, using (among other things) PostgreSQL and ASP.NET MVC, practicing TDD and who deploy website updates and new features multiple times per week. Writing scalable code and using the latest technologies to ensure that they can meet demand; the working environment is fun and friendly, with a casual dress code.

Salary: To £22,000 + Pension
