This client is now seeking a Sourcing Manager to focus on IT spend on a global level.
Conveniently located within easy reach of both the M3 and M25.
Job Description
Reporting into the Senior Global Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties. Whilst the focus is on IT (Hardware and Software), there will also be other ad hoc sourcing requirements as well as project management.
This position will see you working closely with remote team members based in Europe and USA.
The main purpose is to drive maximum leverage of the supply base through understanding stakeholders needs
-Strengthening of stakeholder / Business Partner relationships is key to this position.
-Listening, understanding and remaining focused on Business Partner goals and provide strategic business solutions for approval
-Design sourcing strategies, capitalising supply base knowledge
-Translate business partner needs into measurable deliverables
-Be bold in negotiating advantageous agreements with key suppliers
-Proactively seek regional and global synergy opportunities
-Drive and manage vendors
-Analysing spend reports to identify new areas of opportunity
-Identifying areas of opportunity; from total cost review and appropriate value chain positioning through to the streamlining of procedures and communication.
-Conduct competitive tendering and liaise with Legal Team to create supplier agreements
Person Specification
The ideal candidate would have the following skills, experiences and capabilities:
- Proven ability to extend the influence of Procurement within a remote environment
- Ability to increase efficiency through process re-engineering initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Able to travel, Europe and USA
- Leadership and strong influencing skills
- CIPS qualified
- Sourcing experience within IT
