Geography Teacher

School Background
I am currently working in partnership with an International School, based not far from Dubai in the U.A.E. The school teaches the American Education system and has been awarded the full accreditation by the commission on International and Trans-Regional accreditation in America.

The curriculum at the school is American and all students are also required to study Arabic language with beginner classes provided. Offering the High School Diploma, the school prepares students for the SAT, AP and TOEFL tests. Special English classes are offered at all levels for the local students that speak little or no English.

Whilst many of the students are from an Arabic background, the student body is drawn from 45 nations including American, UK, Russian, Canadian, Polish, Korean and Australian. Classes meet five days a week (Saturday to Wednesday) from 08:00 until 14:50 (13:05 for KG2-Gr 3).This creates a great mixture of expat and local students learning off each other. Staff members are from around the word and have experience of teaching the UK, American or Canadian system.

Having been opened in 1997, the school has great facilities on offer. There are more than 50 classrooms, gymnasium, tennis courts, basketball courts, swimming pools, computer labs and many more.
