General Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a live in General Manager at the Minster Tavern in Ely, Cambridgeshire. This is a traditional pub with chocolate box appeal and great potential. We are looking for a General Manager to drive sales and lead the team in this community pub.

Stonegate Pub Company merged with Town and City Pub Company to create the largest privately owned and managed pub operator in the UK. With over 550 venues across England, Wales and Scotland, the business comprises a number of branded pubs including Yates’s, Slug and Lettuce and Missoula along side high-profile Traditional, Student and local pubs.

We are looking for General Managers with passion and commitment to deliver results and outstanding service in our venues. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of success and an entrepreneurial approach. You will be given the freedom to be creative in your approach to growing sales and we will give you all of the support and tools to make your pub a success.

The Minster Tavern is a beautiful little pub with good food sales and some great cask ales. The successful General Manager will have a passion for Cask Ales and be able to build relationships with all areas of the local community to drive sales.

As General Manager of the Minster Tavern you will have experience in a similar business and be able to drive food and drink sales, motivate your team and deliver a fantastic experience to your customers.

The position is based in Ely, Cambridgeshire and is commutable from Bedford, Cambridge, Peterborough, King's Lynn and Bury St Edmonds although the role does have live in accommodation.

The successful candidate will currently be working as a General Manager, Restaurant Manager, F&B Manager or Pub Manager.
