Our client build Virtual Worlds. Their technology has been used by many high profile client representing top leading brand names, but also by lesser known brands, perhaps looking to support product launches or simply bring their ideas to market. These are customers with awesome ideas for their worlds, and we're here to make sure that those ideas get realised.
They are looking for people who have games programming experience, preferably that experience would be building virtual worlds, but more importantly we are looking for good, solid developers. A passion for playing games is essential.
If you can construct a multiplayer server, maintain thousands of users and their beloved avatars, architect large, object-oriented code bases, or script new and intriguing experiences, we want to hear from you!
They are looking for people in the following areas.
Flex / AS3 / Flash Developer
Rails Developer.
Backend Developer / Sysadmin
As a Flex, AS3, Flash or Rails developer, you should have a familiarity with concurrent programming and an awareness of Open Source tools, an understanding of MVC architecture and a knowledge of OO design patterns and best practice techniques. Any knowledge of socket programming, experience with designing Servlets, experience in HTML5 or Java experience would be useful. Any games scripting experience would also be useful.
As a backend developer, you will be working around the backend game engine and will have a general interest in technology and computer languages and a good knowledge of Linux. Technologies include Java, Erlang
