Foundry Production Supervisor

This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of TEMP-TEAM who are operating as an employment business.

Our client is currently looking for a Production Supervisor to work in a busy Foundry.

You will supervise the Occupational Health and Safety of people within the area covered by the jobholder by ensuring that safe and healthy practices are followed and that all aspects of company, site and legal occupational Health and Safety requirements are met.

Supervision of the production department to ensure resources (both man & machines) are adequately utilised to maximise production/despatches in line with production schedules whilst ensuring product quality is maintained and production is carried out in accordance with SOP’s in place, driving continuous improvement through increased operator involvement

You will provide adequate consumable availability, including tooling, organise weekly rotas and attend daily production meetings.

Other Duties Include:

• Liaising with the Maintenance department/Chargehand/Operators to provide available production equipment to support the plan and increase the OEE within the department
• Ensure plant and equipment is monitored / measured / analysed / rectified as needed to support /benefit as above.
• Organising weekly shift rotas
• Assist in the management of lateness, absenteeism and discipline within company guidelines
• Ensure good housekeeping is maintained (5S)
• Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with other departments, ensuring procedures are in place which deliver consistent standards across all departments
• Identifying/agreeing internal operator training requirements as appropriate and maintaining operator training matrices
• Provide thorough accident / incident investigations. Maintain fire inspections, and regular area safety inspections.
• Attend occasional daily production meetings.
