The overall purpose of the role is to provide leadership, direction, and take responsibility for site operational performance including financial, service performance and quality, sub contract relationships and performance, client relationships, people matters including Health and Safety and site operational development
The post holder will be responsible for all Site operational functions including Office and Industrial Cleaning. The FM Operations Manager will also be required to build a strong working relationship with the client.
Key responsibilities will include:
• To effectively manage and lead on the operational delivery of cleaning services to a portfolio of contracts across a number of sites.
• Ensuring the provision of an efficient and high quality cleaning service across contracts.
• To develop and lead the relevant Site Operational Plans to ensure the Contracts achieve their agreed targets and meet client expectations
• To have responsibility for all aspects of people management including the recruitment, discipline, training and the health safety and welfare of all employees within the post holders remit
• To manage relevant cleaning services related resources including equipment, materials and consumables to achieve quality standards and maximum profitability
• To provide and present performance and relevant Business reports as required by the Clients including performance and financial reports and forecasts
• To lead on the effective management of Health and Safety to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are achieved
• To promote effective client relationships and achieve high customer satisfaction
• To lead on, develop, implement, and monitor quality processes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement targets are being met
• To develop best practice in cleaning processes across contracts
• To participate and contribute, as required, to the strategic and operational management of the wider business
• To provide as required out of hours support for site operations
• To lead, implement and/or contribute to relevant projects including taking on new contracts
Essential Competencies will include:
• Typically graduate calibre, have a Degree or equivalent relevant management qualification
• A recognised professional industry accreditation or qualification is desirable eg BIFM
• Previous experience as a senior contract management with demonstrable evidence of managing delivery within a large multi site, multi functional, highly demanding customer focused environment is required with a particular emphasis on high profile cleaning and waste management service delivery specifically in industrial and office environments
• A strong track record of business transformation and sound understanding and working knowledge of budget management, HR legislation, Health and Safety, performance and quality management within a facilities management environment
• Must possess strong organisational, leadership and communication skills with a strong emphasis on people engagement
• Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Full driving license required
This is a permanent position, salary negotiable.
