Job Description

Role: Fluent French Customer Service Executive
Type: Temporary
Duration: 3 Months
Salary: £10.00- £12.00 per hour

An international travel company in central London are currently recruiting a fluent French Customer Service Executive for a period of 3 months from the start of June until August. Suitable candidates for this role will have worked previously within the travel/ tourism industry in a similar role, be a fluent French speaker and have an additional European Language to supplement- this could Italian or Spanish.

Although this role is full time, Monday to Friday, 09:00- 17:30, you must be flexible to provide emergency cover on an ad hoc basis outside these hours including weekends and bank holidays.

Key responsibilities for this role will comprise:

• First point of contact for all incoming calls and enquires including hotel reservations/ sourcing, destination services, sales requests and travel bookings.
• Supporting an emergency response team and provide support to tour leaders/clients during any unexpected crisis situations that may arise.
• Checking itineraries to ensure smooth running of tours and itinerary feasibility as/when require.
• Meet / greet clients / tour leaders during and outside office hours as/when required.
• Attending tours, inspections, or provide onsite inspection / support if/when required during and outside office hours in & outside of UK.
• Working an ad hoc shift pattern including weekends and bank holidays.

Essential skills required:

• Previous experience in customer service / travel industry essential
• Knowledge of the travel industry market & culture
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills- Fluent French and English essential.
• Cultural knowledge for APAC / EMEA region.
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure and work independently.
• Motivated team player with pro-active attitude.
• Proficient user of all Microsoft office programmes.
