Fleet Service Manager

An exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced Fleet Service Manager to join a high reputable fleet hire organisation specialising in bespoke heavy vehicles. The main focus of the role is to ensure that all budgetary and time constraints are met as well as managing a diverse team that covers all areas from engineers to mobile fitters and administration staff. Other responsibilities include:
• Workshop management
• Administration control
• Cost control
• Managing repair quality
• Customer liaison
• Management to 20-25 personnel
The ideal candidate will be from a heavy vehicle background and will hold either a city and guilds or will be educated to NVQ level 3 in engineering (or equivalent). They may also be a member of the IRTE and will have strong man management skills. The will be a highly effective communicator and will have outstanding organisational skills. They will have prior experience within a similar role, will have a fleet background and will be familiar with heavy vehicles such as utility, refuse, tractor, vans, HGV etc. This role does require the successful candidate to work one Saturday morning on a monthly basis.
