Well look no further, DHL are looking for a First Line Manager in our Supply Chain division based at our site in Thrapston, Northamptonshire. In this role you will plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of a team; Through positive behaviour, conduct and communication, drive and develop a successful team, providing effective leadership, motivation, training & development.

What are you accountable for achieving?
- Manage staffing levels to meet volumes and productivity KPI's
- Team management
- Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
- Facilitate effective communication
- Manage all disciplinary and grievances in line with HR policy
- Ensure company policies are communicated, applied and enforced
- Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's, SSOW and RA's)
- Deliver team performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as required
- Work in collaboration with other DHL Exel Supply Chain sites to maximize efficiencies and best practice
- Focus on improving productivity levels
What will you need as a successful  First Line Manager?
- Previous administration experience
- Previous management experience - supervisory level
- Proven ability to successfully manage a functional area
- Computer literate
- Communication skills - verbal & written
- Ability to follow work procedures
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Time management skills
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Health & Safety knowledge
- Ability to lead and develop a successful team
- Ability to undertake accident investigations
- Knowledge of stock inventory
