Organisation Description
This is an exciting opportunity within a Top Tier Practice who is currently looking to recruit a Junior Manager to join their Business Support and Outsourcing Group
The Business Support and Outsourcing Group provides clients with the full range of accounting and back office services, including bookkeeping, accounts preparation, management accounting, VAT compliance, forecasting and budgeting and any other ad hoc advice and assistance on accounting matters.
Job Description
The purpose of the role is to plan and manage a portfolio of clients and assist in the technical and career development of junior team members.
The main responsibilities of the role will include
Client relationship management, the portfolio of clients predominately in the financial sector.
Preparing and reviewing financial statements under UK GAAP, LLP SORP and IFRS
Reviewing monthly management accounts and VAT returns prepared by the team.
Preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly FSA returns and providing technical support on accounting and FSA matters to the rest of the team.
Assisting with the preparation of FSA Projections for FSA applications and ICAAPs.
Assisting with the preparation of budgets, cashflows and forecasts.
Person Specification
To be considered for the role you will
Be a Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
Demonstrate relevant experience, gained in a similar accounts manager role
Possess excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards both UK and International
Have experience of reviewing FSA regulatory returns
Have proven strong organisational and time management skills
Be IT literate with Sage and preferably other accounting packages, such as Caseware
You will be a good team player, with successful people management skills and be able to perform under pressure with accuracy and focus, with a natural desire to add value to your clients’ business.
