Capita is actively looking to appoint Senior Bid Modeller. The core objective of the Bid Modeller is to produce a financial model that ties together the operational solution, commercial and financial aspects of a bid.

The Bid Modeller core responsibilities and activities are:

• To assist and work with Bid teams in creating solutions.
• Understand cost drivers and relationships between activities within each solution.
• Develop detailed financial models which accurately reflect the solution.
• Understand financial implications in which the bid operates, adhere to standard accounting practices and corporate guidelines.
• Together with the team develop assumptions, risks, analyses which support the financial model
• Together with the Commercial Director develop pricing mechanisms which reflects customer requirements and the sales strategy yet protects Capita’s commercial position.
• Produce a P&L often accompanied by balance sheet and cashflow of the opportunity.
• Summarise risk and return
• Summarise financial model output for internal presentation to senior management and externally to clients.
• Create and populate bid documentation
• Handover a “ successful bid” to operations in an effective manner.

Your background

In order to be suitable for this role you will need to hands on modelling experience ideally working within a similar industry or a professional services firm.

Alongside excellent commercial exposure you will also have experience of operating at a senior level in a fast moving diverse services environment. You will be proactive, ambitious and an excellent communicator with a keen intellect and a desire for progression.
