Financial Controller

This exciting new role is with one of Lancashire’s fastest growing companies operating in the manufacturing / distribution sector. Following some discussion on succession planning a position has arisen for a hands on Financial Controller to support expansion to a targeted £35m. Suitable applicants must be able work with a vast array of personalities, playing an active role in the senior management team, dealing with external advisors and working with the production / commercial team on job costing and pricing. You will have full responsibility for monthly management accounting and statutory reporting, cashflow management and preparation of board reports, budgets / forecasts etc. You will also work closely with the FD enhancing company structure, maintaining systems and controls, reviewing costs and suggesting areas of improvement to help deliver the ambitious plans. This growing business would suit an enthusiastic, hard working qualified accountant looking to be mentored and progress to their first FD role in two years. The ideal profile would be a practice trained accountant with some current industry experience.
