I am working closely with a growing manufacturing business in Gloucesteshire to recruit a Financial Controller for the International side of the business. This is a new role which has been developed to cover the acquisitions and growth over the past couple of years.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
o Providing financial and administrative advice, guidance and support for the management team - Sparring partner for the local management. Contact Person for Management
o Leading/ Managing local financial Team
o Responsibilitiy for all financial activities
o Financial representative for group internally & externally
o Review procedures and drive improvements
o Heads up finance team with main areas accounting, financial planning and analysis, banking, credit collection, inventory control and payroll.
o Income and balance sheet statements and various other ad hoc accounting statements and reports
o Contact person for internal and external auditors, bank insurance etc.
o Runs the stratplan/ budgeting and forecasting process and monitors and reviews actual budget performance
o Evaluates economic and business conditions and presents solutions to problems
o Manages production control - production cost calculation and standard price assessments
o Responsibility for complete accounting
o Independent realisation of month ends closing and annual accounts to local and US-GAAP
o Fulfilling reporting requirements according to Corporate requirements and policies
o Analyses, preparation and explanation of deviations - target and actual comparisons and variance analysis
o Produce and evaluation of daily Reporting
o Ensuring SOX compliance
