Organisation Description
A highly successful, award winning civil engineering group which offers a diverse range of services lines to the sector and as such is firmly established within its niche.
Due to continued demand and rapid growth there is a requirement for a high calibre finance professional to step into this pivotal role and lead the finance team.
They are looking for a fully qualified or equivalent Financial Controller to join them.
You will be a highly autonomous individual with an all round and hands on work ethic.
Reporting to the Financial Director and an integral part of the senior management team, you will be responsible for providing the board with financial advice to support and underpin the growth of the business.
Job Description
Will be working on numerous, large projects, have the ability to communicate effectively with non financial managers within the business.
Daily cash management including credit control
Statutory accounts preparation
Monthly management accounts
Yearly budget preparation
PAYE, dealing with HMRC
Ad hoc duties
Training and developing the finance team.
Monthly forecasting
Person Specification
You will be a fully qualified Accountant or equivalent
Ideally with a construction background you'll will understand the complexities in relation to project costing will be expert in liaising with Project Managers, have mastered at least one ERP system in addition to possessing first class analysis & forecasting skills
A naturally outgoing individual with presence and gravitas you'll be comfortable in presenting to both internal and external stakeholders.
