Job Description
Our client, a well established professional services organisation, based in the Hastings are seeking a Financial Controller to join their team.
The successful candidate will be required to plan and organise the finance function in order to ensure accurate maintenance of the Company records, timely production and monitoring of Budgets, Forecasts, Management and Financial Accounts, and ensure that adequate controls are in place. The duties of the role include:
• Production and monitoring of Revenue and Capital Budgets, Management Accounts, Financial Accounts and Forecasts
• Preparation of statutory financial reporting as well as ensuring the requirements of maintaining and submitting of statutory books and returns are complied with.
• Ensure that the financial reporting needs of partners are met , that capital expenditure plans are adequately evaluated and cash flow is optimized.
• Compliance with external accounting requirements including compliance with IFRS and the legal requirements of the Companies’ Act is met.
• Manage the Company’s premises portfolio in a professional, cost-effective and efficient manner and that the needs of the business are optimized.
• Sign and submit Annual Audited Statutory Accounts to Companies House on time.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors and ensure Annual Audited Statutory Accounts are signed
• Maintain a working knowledge of the CLC accounting rules
• Produce Legal Board Packs in accordance with parent company timescales
The successful candidate will be CCAB/CIMA qualified and/or equivalent with strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards as well as experience of CLC or SRA accounting rules. You will be skilled in modelling and an advanced user of excel (vlookups and pivot tables.) Ideally you will have experience within a similar role and have the ability to manage a team.
In return our client is offering a very competitive salary circa £45k, dependant on experience.
