CMA has been approached to recruit for a newly created Head of Finance position within a well established manufacturing business based in West Dorset.
Exciting times lie ahead for our client who is undergoing a process of change in strategic direction and extensive restructuring. Reporting into the Group Financial Director and working closely with the CEO, you will be an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant with extensive experience of having worked in the manufacturing sector. It is essential that you have a ‘hands on’ approach and are able to understand the technical reporting needs of the business and are able to make improvements to the MRP system in order to extract accurate management information for the Board. Extensive experience of improving systems and processes would be ideal. Financial responsibilities include day to day management of the finance function and staff management, inventory accounting and job costing, stock takes, production of budgets, assisting with Year End and review and implementation of improvements to the MRP system. This position will also combine accountability for commercial and strategic direction of the business with responsibility for financial modelling and exploration of new revenue streams and potential profitability of new contracts and preferably the successful candidate will have experience of tendering for bids and contracts. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to make a real impact and to support the senior management team in strategy for further expansion and growth.
