They are a leading Global IT organisation with operations based throughout the UK and Europe with their Customer Delivery Services centre being based in Theale. They support 10 countries in Europe delivering I.T Services to a broad range of customers. With around 1800 employees across the UK and Ireland they operate as an internal delivery arm for the firm and have grown 40% in the last 3 years but have over 40 years of history delivering Multivendor I.T services across Europe.
Job Overview:
Operating within a small but dynamic Business Finance Team this is a crucial role supporting the wider Finance Team and leading the Financial Analysis for what is a highly complex Cost Centre operation. Although a part of the wider HP Corporation, being a separate legal entity we have many processes, policies and Governance unique to the organisation which the Finance team play a part in sculpting and maintaining. With no revenue billed directly to end customers they operate on an intercompany cost allocation basis to other Business Units but are nevertheless goaled on cost recovery driving a strong Business Mentality. You will act as a Finance Business Partner to a number of Business managers at different levels within the organisation and as such form part of their Management teams as a ‘trusted partner’.
Key Responsibilities:
• Driving key financial metrics for the organisation
• Hands on participation in the month end close, managing the overall integrity of the company P&L
• Cost Management, Overheads, Platforms and Direct
• Operate within the Financial Framework between CDS & other group companies – Labour rates, Activity Based Charges, Fixed Price SLA
• Act as an experienced mentor to finance interns on a one year contract
• Reporting results to business managers at all levels
• Drive key financial deliverables within Finance and the Business
• Engage with key finance contacts in the wider HP and develop relationships
• Excellent financial stewardship of the organisation from both a control and governance perspective and cost efficiency perspective
• Financial thought leadership and financial acumen to meet business goals
Qualifications:
• Ideally CIMA Part Qualified or equivalent, will consider Qualified by experience / AAT qualified
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years relevant Accounting and/or Finance experience (must have)
