Job Description
An interesting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant within a hi-tech company based in North Hampshire in an initial interim role. The role is required as part of a project to in-source and transfer systems into Oracle.
Responsibilities:
* Ownership and responsibility for all aspects of General Ledger Accounting during project transition currently being outsourced and resolve relevant accounting issues
* Monthly closing of books for financial results reporting
* Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Work with accounting specialist to ensure smooth running of AP approval processes through project transition
* Review and approve payments in accordance with process
* Cash flow forecasting
* Review and approve reconciliations
* Supply required information and work with team members who will be producing statutory accounts in local GAAP
* Support Financial Analyst in liaising between auditors and accountants
* Supply information and analysis as required and work with local external accountants who will be producing corporation tax filings
* Produce information for monthly VAT returns from records as required
Requirements:
* Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA, with strong accounting skills
* Previous experience of accounting transition projects
* UK and US GAAP experience
* Excellent numeric skills
* High attention to detail
* Good communication skills
* Advanced level Excel skills
* Oracle or similar ERP system would be an advantage
* Relevant experience in accounting, ideally in a hi-tech multi-national organisation, however an auditing background will also be considered
* Must be available for potential European travel
