Organisation Description

Part time Finance Manager required to work 2.5 to 3 days per week for a growing organisation in Chippenham.

Job Description

• All aspects of Sales Ledger/Credit Control, Purchase Ledger and Nominal Ledger
• Production of Monthly Management Account Packs and Group consolidation Accounts packs
• Running of monthly payroll for around 100 employees, ensuring accurate processing of sick pay, statutory absences or unpaid leave
• Administering the financial aspects of employee benefits such as the company pension scheme, Bupa medical and dental, travel insurance, life assurance, cycle to work and childcare voucher schemes
• Administering company insurance, (car, buildings, indemnity etc.)
• Processing of employee expenses
• Accurate and timely processing of statutory returns
• Manage budgets, forecasting and cash flow management
• Control of bank accounts
• Financial & Management reporting including all planning, analysis and project accounting.
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of a Finance Plan for the business including exploring all revenues for cost saving and reducing spend
• Identify, design and implement ad-hoc Finance projects as and when required
• Comply with all quality, environmental and information security policies and procedures

Person Specification

• Several years’ experience working in an accounts/finance department, with demonstrable understanding of all accounting processes, procedures and financial reporting
• High level of competence in Sage 200, Sage Payroll and Sage Financial Forecasting
• Working knowledge of payroll processing and statutory returns obligations
• Energetic, pro-active and able to excel in a fast paced company
• Good time management, organisation and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated and driven to achieve continuous improvement
• Ability to work under pressure with high volumes and tight deadlines
• Able to work effectively with minimum supervision
• Willingness to accept responsibility
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office [Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook]
• Experience of working in an SME is beneficial
