Organisation Description
The sourcing and decommissioning lead is responsible to serving as a business partner to the sourcing team to drive business initiatives, growth, business strategy, and profitability. This position also has primary responsibility in managing key nuclear decommissioning projects . Reports to Global Supply Chain (GSC) CFO and includes one direct resource.
Job Description
• Partner with the Direct Sourcing GM in managing $300MM of Direct Material spend and the Indirect Sourcing GM in managing $450MM of Indirect spend to maximize deflation opportunities
• Ownership for developing deflation and material spend estimates for operating forecasts/reviews, including Growth Playbook (3-year Plan), SII (1-year Plan), Operating Plan
• Driving profitable growth by providing analysis of results and reporting key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions
• Lead regular deflation and purchase price variance (PPV) reviews with Global Sourcing Leaders and plant finance teams
• Monthly reporting of deflation and material spend, validate system output
• Make clear linkage between financial results and operating activities, enabling clear actions to improve financial results
• Review and validate T&C’s in all supply contracts, approval of exceptions
• Support sourcing leaders in supplier risk monitoring and developing risk mitigation plans.
• Support Sourcing GM on monthly reviews with HQ, includes Monthly Productivity Review
• Work with Global Sourcing Leaders to improve cash position by driving initiatives to increase supplier terms
• Periodic reconciliation of sourcing systems to local finance ledger
• Manage and prepare cost forecasts for the Sourcing function
• Work closely with senior decommissioning project lead and controllership to manage the regular analysis and estimation of decommissioning income statement impact
Person Specification
To be considered for this role you will be a qualified accountant with relevant experience especially within business partnering, analysis and strategy.
Package £60-70k plus £6k and 15% bonus potential.
