Finance Director - Private Property and Leisure Group - Our Client is a successful multi-faceted private real estate / leisure group with a number of expanding brands, assets and operating businesses. As a result of organic growth and a need to develop the finance function and reporting capabilities a new senior role for a Head of Finance / FD Designate has been created. Reporting to the MD the role will be instrumental in reviewing accounting treatment, processes and addressing efficiencies and evolving management information and reporting and will entail :-
• Financial stewardship of the group including four key areas: company’s cash liquidity management, Financial Controls, Quality and timely production of Management and Financial Reporting and providing leadership to the Finance team reporting directly to MD.
• Month-end management and budgetary reporting.
• Development and production of CAPEX and operational financial forecasts.
• Preparation of consolidated statutory accounts and audit.
• Strategic tax planning.
• Other general duties, i.e. building strong relationships across the group and assuming accountability for the finance team performance.
The Person: To be considered applicants will be experienced, commercial and an ambitious chartered accountant with extensive technical knowledge, drive to grow a business and a “rollup sleeves” attitude, responsible for the success of the finance department through hands on management of the team.
All candidates must possess a real estate background in a medium sized business ideally with both Project Development and operational management experience. Strong financial reporting combined with Industry standard accounting and Excel / system knowledge is essential as is the ability to manage, grow and lead a team through hands on management.
