Scantec are a privately owned Recruitment Specialist that are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to work within a busy account function. The ideal candidate will be part of a team delivering the finance and accounts support to all areas of the business. This is a great opportunity for ongoing accounts development to learn all aspects of an accounts function.
Responsibilities cover the following areas specifically, though not exclusively :
- Maintaining Purchase Ledger and all associated tasks and nominal accounts
- Management of credit card statements, invoices
- Responsibility for petty cash
- Month End reporting tasks
- Ability to present Management Reports by manipulating data.
- Management of renewal of company contracts with suppliers and adhoc goods/service
procurement where appropriate - Dealing with company’s customers and suppliers, auditors and bankers professionally and effectively
- Being able to Display appropriate level of discretion and confidentiality around sensitive company data
- Initiating new procedures and processes where
appropriate to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department
To be considered for this role you must have the following experience;
- Working within a large organisation having had a variety of accounts experience within a support function
- Embarking on or studying a recognised accountancy qualification
- Excellent Excel Skills and knowledge
- Ability to multi task under pressure.
- The attitude to "progressive learn" within a company
