ETDE Infrastructure, a leading street lighting specialist which is part of the Bouygues group of companies, operates through a network of branches throughout the UK providing a diverse range of lighting services to local authorities and the private sector.
We have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Assistant to support the Financial Accountant and act as the liaison between the business and the Shared Service Centre in Brighton.
You must have experience of working in an accounting environment, ideally within a multi branch contracting environment. Role responsibilities include working with Shared Service Centre to resolve queries on supplier and sub-contractor invoices, completing new supplier and subcontractor account forms, updating customer data on the accounting system, ensuring works orders are submitted correctly, reviewing credit checks, ensuring invoices are raised correctly, all aspects of credit control, acting as the main point of administration for CRM database, preparing paperwork for ad hoc payments (cheques, CHAPS etc), managing and maintaining the insurance database, supporting the Financial Accountant in preparing cash flow forecasts, reviewing VAT reconciliations, annual insurance renewals and preparing information for management reporting.
You will need to work as part of a team and have the ability to challenge current processes in order to recommend improvements. You will have a keen eye for detail together with strong IT skills, especially Excel, and the ability to learn new systems.
The hours for this role are 8.30-5.30, Monday to Friday. In return, we offer an attractive salary and benefits package including opportunities for further training.
