Reporting to the Field Service Manager, Clinical Diagnostics South, the Field Service Engineer provides on site customer support and is the main face of the company to our customers. The role is for a Customer Support Engineer, supporting Haematology and PK blood grouping, with the possibility to develop into Immunoassay.

This position will be instrumental in providing a high level of support, requiring close interaction with the customer and colleagues to maintain a quality service.  

Adhering to customer focused strategies to achieve business goals, increase customer satisfaction and position Service Support as a positive sales differentiator in an ever increasingly competitive market.

This position is full time, five days a week including the occasional Saturday and Sunday as and when required. The candidate should ideally be located near to the Bristol area.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:-

• Achieve departmental goals and objectives to meet the company’s operational plan

• Work closely with other internal departments to build relationships that result in timely implementation, installation and post go-live support

• Develop and maintain a good working relationship with the customer

• Ensure Preventative Maintenance Inspections and service modifications are completed in the specified time frames

• Ensure accurate completion of all paperwork and reports

• Contribute to an environment where quality is perceived as a culture

• Maintain accurate record of car stock

• Adhere to company policies and procedures

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:-

• Position will be primarily supporting the Bristol area

• A minimum HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant technical subject

• Minimum of 2 years Field Service experience

• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally at all levels

• Proven track record in a technical service organisation with a customer focus being key

• Although this position will be based around the Bristol area, there will be times when travel around the country will be required

• Full UK driving license

• I.T. literate

Salary: £27,000 - 30,000 + 10% OTE + Car
