Hermes is one of the best known names in the home shopping delivery market, providing our customers with high standards of quality and service.It is therefore essential that our network of couriers across the country always maintains an efficient delivery service, and as a Field Manager you’ll play an active part in this operation.

Main Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will work independently to provide an essential link between the company and our team of couriers in this region.

Main Responsibilities of the Role:

• Recruitment, interviewing and training of self employed Couriers
• Ensuring total courier coverage in this area
• Development of back-up files and maintenance of individual courier records
• Working in a remote, fast paced and challenging environment, where you will also be a productive member of the regional team, assisting in additional tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous people-management experience with a particular emphasis on interviewing and selection techniques.
• Good level of IT skills
• You must be highly self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise your workload
• You must have a flexible attitude and approach to work.
• You must be of smart appearance, articulate and able to communicate confidently at all levels.

Managing self employed teams and knowledge of parcel delivery operations would be a distinct advantage.
