Deputy Events Manager/Events Coordinator - you decided.......

There isn’t anything out there to match this job right now. Our client is an organic, biodynamic 2500 acre farm based near Basingstoke. They are currently looking for a new member of their events management team who will join them on a 6 month fixed term contract through the summer festival season. There is the opportunity of a permanent job, as the company is expanding its events function.  

The role will involve:

• Responsible for the planning and operating of festivals on and off the farm.
• Working closely with the Owners, Event Management team, VIP’s and PR Company.
• Involved in major national sporting and cultural events.
• Local markets.
• Trade shows.
• Corporate entertainments.
• Weddings and parties.

This is a challenging and demanding post and the challenge should you wish to accept is:-

• Plan.
• Manage the smooth running of all events.
• Deliver a first class service.
• Ultimate goal - turn all events into a commercial profit.  

For this position you will have clear and practical understanding of the importance of organisation and attention to detail with the flexibility to be a "hands on" operator as well as a profit centre manager. You will require a good understanding of planning processes, budgets and P&L. You will be a team player, have an outgoing personality, along with excellent personal skills and be results driven.

Successful applications will come from a catering background, with experience of supervising staff at events, along with planning and responsibilities for P&L.
