Job Title: Event Manager
Location: Newhaven / Eastbourne, East Sussex
Salary: £24,000 Pro Rata

An opportunity has arisen to join our client on a three month temporary contract to organise and deliver a major fund raising event in Eastbourne.

The successful individual will deliver the operation of their Mobility Mile event on time and on budget. You will lead the event management both pre-event and on-site and ensure the smooth running of the event on the day meeting health and safety requirements. You will also ensure the whole event is a positive experience for attendees.

You will have proven experience of managing and delivering a successful outdoor event and proven ability to manage a multifaceted project. Good negotiation skills and proven experience of managing a team of up to 20 paid staff, volunteers and contractors is essential together with the ability to manage budgets and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Good communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and good administration skills are desirable, together with a creative approach to problem solving together with health and safety experience.

A full driving licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel are essential.
