Event Accountant - Media - London - £45-50k

A fast-paced and rapidly expanding media group is looking for an Event Accountant to support the group Finance Director and the Head of Events to maintain financial integrity across their global events.

As Event Accountant, you will have full ownership of all accounting, financial and management reporting related to events and you will work with the global finance team to ensure that these events are correctly accounted for.

In this role, key responsibilities will also include:

• tracking actual vs. budget for all events
• providing monthly results for all events
• maintaining contact with all event co-ordinators to report on actual vs. budget
• taking ownership of all cash-flow, costs and revenue for events
• working with Group Budget Manager to prepare event budgets
• leading and co-ordinating insurance provision for event
• ensuring financial control is in place for all events
• tracking event travel costs against budget
• ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with relevant experience, ideally within the media or creative industries. Previous experience with events and event accounting would be advantageous but is not essential.
