Our client is a not-for-profit housing association with over 6,500 properties in and around Maidstone, Kent. They are now seeking an Estate Services Manager to join them.
This is a superb opportunity for a dedicated team manager with a track record of managing complex projects, a working knowledge of COSHH and a cleaning, caretaking or environmental qualification.
Joining a highly successful housing association, you will have the chance to really make a difference to the lives of those who need assistance the most. You'll receive a development grant aimed to support additional learning outside the workplace and ongoing training and development opportunities.
As an Estate Services Manager, you will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive caretaking service for our client's properties.
You will manage the environmental services supervisors and the cleaners as well as the contract administration of external services. Overseeing these teams, you will ensure that excellent environmental services are provided to residents, properties are properly maintained and issues are dealt with.
Your duties will include:
- Undertaking regular staff appraisals
- Monitoring works by third party contractors
- Inspecting and reporting defects and developing a responsive service for tenants
- Identifying, costing and implementing services for new and existing developments
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Experience of managing complex projects, including preparing and monitoring budgets
- A proven track record of managing teams, including staffing rotas and assessing development needs
- Experience of managing fleet and stock or equipment
- A good working knowledge of COSHH management and general health and safety
- A cleaning, caretaking or environmental services qualification
- A driving licence and access to your own transport
