Job Description

A national organisation with their Head Office based in Worcestershire are seeking an interim Employee Relations Manager to develop, coordinate and manage the ER operations for an area of the business undergoing significant change. Paying between £16-20 per hour, the role will be a requirement for a minimum of six months and will require national travel.

In addition the remit of the role incorporates the following responsibilities:

• Assistance with the development of a properly formulated, delivered and evaluated employee engagement strategy that ensures the workforce is properly informed, motivated, and focused on performance during period of change.
• Ensure that effective channels for employee engagement, communication and consultation are maintained and improved to meet the objectives defined in the Employee Engagement Plan.
• Ensure that all Disciplinary and Grievance activities are conducted in a professional and timely fashion
• Identify and seek agreement for ongoing regular and frequent Organisational and Development Reviews to improve business performance, making clear recommendations to the HR Manager and SMT for action.

As such the successful candidate will be immediately available, or on a short term notice period (not longer than 2 weeks) and fulfil the following criteria:

• Be of graduate calibre
• Be at least part CIPD qualified (full membership will be considered an advantage)
• Have strong experience of operating at Senior Advisor/Management level within an ER focussed team, or on an ER project
• To have experience within an SME, multi site organisation, with exposure to Trade Unions
