Primary purpose of role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Engineering Team Leader in our Supply Chain Division based at our site in Daventry, Northamptonshire.

This role will ideally suit a Multi Skilled Engineering Team Leader with an electrical bias from automation background looking for a new challenge. The successful candidate will   lead a multi-disciplined maintenance team to ensure delivery of functional key performance indicators.The Engineering Team Leader's role is predominantly a hands on role to ensure that all items of plant and equipment are maintained to the appropriate standard, ensuring performance is safe, reliable and in accordance with standards and legislation. The ideal candidate will provide management and leadership of their shift on a day to day basis and will participate fully in area improvement plans relating to quality, cost and safety. whilst providing first class service to operations in order to maximise efficiencies. Business Overview

Daventry Frozen site in Crick supplies 70% of Tesco's frozen food requirements within the UK.
The site operates 24/7 in a challenging environment and offers a great deal of opportunity for candidates who want to develop their skills and careers within DHL. It is a busy FMCG site which sees year on year growth demand to match that of its customers.

Key Accountabilities

- Leadership of a Multi Skilled maintenance team within a fast moving automated environment.
- Continuously improve and deliver maintenance strategy
- Responsibility for teams compliance with company and statutory Health and Safety, Environmental and other relevant legislation.
- Constantly appraise and address training and development need of team.
- To lead and encourage environment to allow process improvements.
- Provide support in the implementation of projects when necessary.
- Work to improve Engineering Key Performance Indicators
- Maintain planned maintenance records and provide an accurate history of the equipment to aid fault-finding.
- Provide relevant, timely and accurate information to the Engineering Manager regarding all aspects of site engineering.
- Carry out administration duties deemed necessary within Engineering function.
- Ensure company policies are adhered to and enforced.

Capability Profile

- Time served Multi-Skilled Engineering Team Leader with an electrical bias from automation background.
- Demonstrate ability to fault find, in a logical and systematic manner.
- Knowledge of H & S requirements.
- Working in proactive engineering environment.
- Computer literate
- Positive and focused attitude.
- Willing to learn

- Degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent
