Engineering Manager £50,000 - £60,000 West Yorkshire Monday - Friday Days

My client, an established and growing Food Manufacturer, in West Yorkshire are currently searching for an Engineering Manager to join their established team. This is a Monday - Friday Days based role offering a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 dependant upon experience.

Job Purpose

To manage and develop the Engineering Department and bring the overall site operation to World Class through increases reliability and cost savings.

Key Tasks:

To write and manage the Engineering budget and continually look at improved buying of engineering supplies, with an aim of improving the Engineering Department spend year on year

To maintain and improve the Planned Maintenance system on site

To develop a culture of Continuous Improvement via the Engineering Department, involving other personnel on site

To monitor and improve the utility spending on site

To manage new projects on site and to ensure that they are brought in on time and to budget

Authority:

Authority to purchase engineering equipment and spares as required.

Authority to manage the Utilities on site

Authority to employ new engineers as required

Qualifications / Experience:

Previous experience in an Engineering Management role, with budgetary authority.

Food Manufacturing Experience essential

Previous experience of TPM and Continuous Improvement

Previous experience of managing staff

Aptitudes:

Attention to detail, especially with project management

Computer literate in word and excel

Well organised and tidy, and expects that from those around him

Good at multi-tasking and managing his/her time
