Electrical/Mechanical Engineer - PLC Experience - Permanent - North Yorkshire - £23-25K Basic + 17% Shift Allowance + Excellent Benefits

Our client is an international leader in its specialist field and has a reputation of excellence as a creator and manufacturer of food products. Currently an opportunity exists for an engineer to join the supply chain department on a permanent basis at their modern facility in North Yorkshire. The overall focus of this role will be to lead the daily maintenance engineering activities for the plant.

Typically your daily duties will include:
•Input to the upkeep of a Maintenance Plan of Work for the plant
•Undertaking planned and preventative maintenance activities
•Attending and resolving breakdowns
•Contributing towards system / process improvements
•Maintaining and repairing air-conditioning and extraction systems
•Administering the purchasing and stock control of engineering parts/ spares etc

To be considered for this opportunity you will be an experienced engineer and hold a relevant engineering qualification - If you have gained experience working with electrical and mechanical system equipment in the food industry this will be desirable. Previous building maintenance experience would also be desirable along with knowledge of PLC fault finding and maintenance (programming knowledge would be advantageous). Experience of installation and commissioning work is also desirable. Above all you will have good organisation skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team or on your own.

Due to the location of the organisation you will require a driving licence and also have access to your own transport.

Rotating Weekly Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - 6am to 2.30pm and 2pm to 10pm

Salary £23-25K Basic + 17% Shift Allowance + Excellent Benefits
