My client is one of the UK’s leading welfare-to-work providers in  the UK. Since the beginning of 2000, it has assisted thousands of unemployed people into suitable, lasting work.  With new opportunities and growth expanding the company needs,  it is now in the need of Employment Advisor's to work in Leeds, Bradford & Huddersfield.

The purpose of an Employment Advisor:

A Employment Advisor will build and maintain effective rapport with their caseload and will use their exceptional planning and organisational skills to ensure that all candidates are given appropriate assistance in building activity levels to enhance their chances of starting and sustaining work.

Duties:-      

  • To conduct a diagnostics assessment with all referred clients to assess job readiness and the appropriate level of support required on the customer journey (Boost, Engage, Enterprise).
  • To provide intensive support to all clients with job search on a one-to-one basis and in group settings dependant on the customer journey identified by the diagnostic assessment.
  • To conduct job search via newspapers, internet, contacting employers and cold calling.
  • To ensure clients have access to workshop options such as Interview Skills, Ready for Work (in-work etiquette) and Cold Calling techniques.
  • To prepare CV’s and cover letters to a high quality standard.
  • To coach and prepare the clients for job interviews.
  • To support clients on work experience and other community based programmes.
  • To provide initial in-work support for the first 6 months of employment.
  • To ensure comprehensive handover to the customer support team when the client has been in work for 6 months.
  •  To ensure that relationships are maintained with key internal partners including the customer support team and employer account team.
  • To facilitate job focused group work for clients.
  • To ensure that all documentation relating to the client is completed and maintained in an accurate, timely and respectful manner.
  • To maintain quality client records on the company database so that they outline the client’s journey on the programme.

  • Demonstrates excellent organisation & planning skills showing an ability to work well under pressure/in difficult situations

This is a demanding job that is target driven on a monthly bases, you are helping people from all types of backgrounds and you must be understanding  and respectful.
