EMEA Perceptive Contract Manager (Geneva, Switzerland)

Lexmark International Technology S.A. is looking for a contract manager reporting to the International General Manager to support Perceptive Software sales teams in the EMEA region to draft, revise, review and negotiate contracting agreements including but not limited to Master Agreements, Software License Agreements, Partner Agreements, Nondisclosure Agreements, Subscription Agreements and Marketing Agreements under varying country law with additional legal consultation as needed.


Responsibilities include

  • Review and responding to legal portions of RFPs, RFIs and other solicitation documents.
  • Assist with vendor contracts and maintenance of corporate records.
  • Review, approve and train on contractual documentation in order to adhere to company policy and protect company's contractual posture.
  • Advise management of contractual terms, conditions, rights and obligations.
  • Provide interpretation of legal terms and conditions.
  • Prepare amendments to Master Agreements and conduct contractual reviews and renegotiation.
  • Guide colleagues and management through the various stages of the contract process, to include driving planning, collaboration, contractual strategy, negotiation, execution and storage.
  • Participating in or driving special initiatives geared toward updating and streamlining contracting processes as well as fulfilling departmental objectives.
  • Preparing, reviewing, negotiating and administering customer, vendor, professional services and other commercial agreements and documents, including non- disclosure agreements, software agreements as well as statements of work, resale, distribution, retail, and other sales agreements,.
  • Reviewing customer proposals to Lexmark´s standard terms and conditions, summarizing differences for senior management, and obtaining any required approvals.
  • Coordinating activities with cross-functional teams from opportunity assessment through contract negotiations, award and post award activities.
  • Negotiating legal terms and conditions with customers or partners from time to time
  • Performing other duties as to be assigned from time to time

Summary of Qualifications:

  • Law degree from university or law school (or any specialization in business law) and a degree in Master Business Admin, preferably; and at least three (3) years contract management/ administration experience preferably in the field of Software/IT Industry experience; license to practice law is not a requirement.
  • Business-level fluency in multiple languages is a strong preference.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and technical skills in multiple languages are essential
  • Detail-oriented and able to efficiently manage and handle multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  • The candidate must be a team player also able to self-start with limited guidance and work independently as well as having a positive, problem solving, business focus attitude with confidence to prioritise workload appropriately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior international business experience helpful
  • Flexible and solution oriented, able to maintain grace under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, dynamic and highly team-oriented.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and CRM system utilization and fluency in desktop productivity tools in Microsoft/PC environment required
  • Some travel to support customer negotiations as applicable.
