Have a knowledge of Partial Discharge in relation to switchgear, motors and Generators

Participate in call out rota as required
·
Test machines using Phase Current Analysis
·
Conduct static testing of machines IR, PI, DLA / Tan Delta, Surge and Hi-pot testing
·
Set up and load testing of machines in the workshop environment
·
Relay and protection testing to electrical distribution systems
·
The ability to train technicians in the operation of test equipment
·
Must be computer literate
·
Work offshore and participate in occasional overseas visits as required
·
Be able to organise yourself, members of a team and materials at short notice
·
Working within the current health & safety guidelines and site requirements
·
Contributing to the maintenance of Health and Safety in the workplace
·
Good team working skills as well as working on own initiative
·
Promote good housekeeping for an efficient working environment
