Electrical Safety Engineer

Electrical Safety Engineers are required to join an established team of Engineers and Consultants. These are specialist roles, assisting clients in all aspects of global certification and compliance and carrying out product safety testing and assessment and will ideally suit a technically competent, outgoing individual with a safety testing/certification background, someone who aspires to working as a Product Safety Specialist in a global organisation.

ROLE
Core focus of activities deals with product safety.  The organisation undertakes all aspects of compliance related issues associated with helping clients place compliant and competitive products on the market, using the most timely and cost-effective methods.
• Providing compliance related advice on topics such as CE marking, electrical safety, mechanical safety and market access requirements
• Carrying out safety testing and design assessments on domestic white goods and light industrial products
• Conducting factory inspections
• Preparation and review of technical documentation, such as test reports and technical files
• Product Certification

REQUIRED
• ONC, HNC or equivalent qualifications/experience
• Safety testing experience
• IT skills using MS office suite of programs
• Technically capable, confident, dynamic with a commitment to 'get the job done’
• Willing to work off-site
• Team worker, able to manage themselves and others
• Desirable but not essential:
• Knowledge of global certification procedures
• Awareness of risk analysis techniques
• Technical sales/business development experience
• Knowledge of standards and test laboratory quality & operating procedures
