ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

TELFORD

£12.50 - £13.50ph

6 month contract

Based in Telford UK, our client provides innovative solutions to both the cast-house and extrusion sectors. Our client is the first choice for a number of the world's metals producers to design and build specialist equipment for heavy engineering processes.

THE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

We have a 6 Month contract requirement for an electrical engineer to carry out specification and design of electrical power and control systems for their diverse range of products for the aluminium industry.

DUTIES

  • Carrying out basic electrical design at bid stage and assisting the bid team with specifications
  • Drawing in Auto cad schematic, panel, cable block, and installation drawings
  • Cable sizing calculations
  • Coordinating with in house technicians / panel wiremen and design team.
  • Testing electrical installations and systems.
  • Making sure projects and designs meet electrical and construction safety regulations.
  • Overseeing inspection / control panel tests
  • Willingness to work overseas

  • A comprehensive understanding of electrical health and safety regulations

Hours and environment

You'll normally work around 40 hours a week, with occasional overtime to meet deadlines and potential overseas works to oversee installations and to validate work by others.
